Today is THE Day

The one day of autumn when the Blackjack and Post oaks show some fall color. After today they will be brown, just shades of brown. But today, I see oranges and rusts and touches of yellow. Yes, today is a great day!

Today's Prayer

Dear Father, this New Year offers me a chance to reflect on my sins and shortcomings, as well as the glory of Your grace, and the beauty of Your universe. Help me in this coming year to change my heart so that I can change my life and become the person You want me to be.
Your love comforts me when I am sad or uncertain, and I am grateful for all you have given me, for all I have comes from your bounty. Bless my family, my friends and me. Please help all who are in distress or ill to find their comfort in You. In Jesus' name.
Amen.
